'My Personal Opinion'
Ion should step down as game director and return to his position as Raid Designer. I fully believe he's an amazing raid designer but the systems upon systems, the double downing on weak designs and overall Hubris in his interviews (conduit power interview), just seems to me that he is the lead cause in the current wow design. Yes do i believe Activision want more people playing for longer, and more spend per user. Of-course, why wouldn't the share holding company want this? However they do not control the design. Ion and his teams 'direction' determines how he was get players playing more and how he will get them spending more, and looking at how the game is developing he is not fit for this positioning.
